concept
Located in the dramatic landscape of Ranakpur, Chora Dam Resort takes shape as an eco luxury safari retreat rooted in its terrain. Spread across 188,750 sq ft, the project grows out of the land’s contours, climate, and quiet vastness. Timber pavilions are placed like sheltered outposts across the site, allowing guests to experience the shifting light, rugged textures, and expansive skies of Rajasthan in a setting that feels both raw and refined.
design
The architectural language follows rustic contemporary expression with an earth toned material palette that reflects the surrounding soil and stone. Open to nature living shapes the layout, with shaded verandahs, framed views, and gradual transitions between interior and exterior spaces. Timber structures, textured walls, and climate responsive planning guide the spatial experience. Still under construction, the retreat aims to feel settled into its surroundings rather than placed upon them.
