concept
The landscape is imagined as an organic loop of serenity, shaped by the raw beauty of Jawai’s terrain. Rooted in the idea of biodiversity, the retreat becomes a living habitat where trees, grass, water, birds, and people coexist. Curved geometries soften the site, creating a threshold that feels like stepping into nature rather than a constructed resort. The intent is to craft a hospitality setting that supports health, leisure, and ecological balance, where every bend in the path reveals a new moment of pause, gathering, or quiet wonder.
design
The master plan grows from interconnected gathering zones stitched together through organic circulation. Water bodies, floating walkways, decks, and grassland edges shape an experiential journey across the site. Sculpted mounds, amphitheater seating, portals, feature walls, and roundabouts form distinct nodes and vantage points. A circlique walking trail winds through the landscape, encouraging exploration. The planting palette is vibrant and seasonally dynamic, layered with flowering shrubs, grasses, and trees that bring colour, texture, and movement, reinforcing the retreat’s ecological and sensory richness.
