concept
The landscape is imagined as a quiet garden estate where the built form gradually dissolves into layers of vegetation, water and crafted outdoor spaces. Instead of treating the garden as a backdrop to the farmhouse, it is conceived as a lived environment that unfolds through a sequence of spatial moments. The entrance introduces a crafted threshold through a metal plate installation that sets the tone for the landscape language. Beyond this, the garden opens toward expansive greens and a reflective infinity pool, while the deck extends the living space outward toward the golf course. Sculptures, water, and textured planting are interwoven within the site to create pauses, views and moments of stillness, allowing the landscape to feel contemplative, intimate and deeply connected to its natural surroundings.
design
The layout is organized around a central lawn and a linear infinity swimming pool that visually anchors the garden. The pool edge is designed to frame long views across the landscape while integrating seating and sculptural accents that animate the space. A timber deck projects into the garden and aligns with views toward the golf course, forming a relaxed outdoor lounge shaded by two mature mulberry trees. Subtle level variations are introduced through a stepped mound that adds topographic interest while shaping the lawn edges. Pathways weave through richly layered planting composed of nearly fifty to sixty species of trees, shrubs and ornamental grasses, creating texture, seasonal variation and ecological diversity. Sculptures are placed along circulation routes and near the water body, transforming the movement through the garden into a curated spatial experience where art, landscape and architecture intersect.
